Sean & Marshall Elementary School

Sean had the privilege of spending his Friday mornings running with the youth at James Marshall Elementary School in Modesto for a little over a year.  He says he personally feels the time spent at the school has helped to break barriers and develop a better relationship between the students actively involved in the running program and law enforcement. 

Sean continues to run with youth in Northern California and hopes to inspire fellow police officers to get engaged in the community in a similar way, all over the country. 

Erick & Destiny

Erick and Destiny started their journey together four years ago, when Erick, a 14 year LAPD officer who has been active in the Watts area for the last 13 years, was assigned to mentor Destiny through a local non-profit. They bonded over the passion for running and they've been training and running races together ever since.  This is their story:
